Does anyone know of any GOOD ear plugs?

Anyone know the best most effective and comfortable ear plugs a person can wear when sleeping ?

  I had some very good ones a couple of years ago, they come in a little tin and they are pea sized wax balls wrapped in cotton wool. You just unwrap them, and roll them around in your fingers to warm them up so that they are soft and you can change the shape of them, then press them into your ears and they will mould to fit the shape of your ear. Im assuming they block out all noise because i used them on an air plane (my ears get SO painful when landing) and it blocked out most of the noise (bare in mind it was a noisy air plane) and my ears didn't hurt one bit :) I cant remember what they are called but i think i got them from boots.
