How do I get a Disney channel audition if I live abroad?

How do you get Disney or nickelodeon auditions?

  • okay, i have seen soooooo many people ask this exact same question but i have never got the answer I am looking for. I am looking for auditions for acting. I would love to go on Disney or nickelodeon. I have no agent and no clue on how to get one. Do you really need an agent to start out???? I have heard that Disney is doing open call auditions. Is someone able to give me any information on it??? Also, to be able to get an audition, do you have to live in America/LA?? Also whats a resume??? I would also like to know if the websites bellow are scams or real auditions. http://www.auditionsfinder.com/casting-calls/nickelodeon/ http://tv.disney.go.com/disneychannel/opencall/ http://www.disney-channel-auditions.com/search.php I really want to go on a kids tv show or be on a kids movie. I am 13 female and I live in Australia. I absolutely love to act. Everyone says I am really good at acting and say I should be and actress/model/singer. I really want to audition. I am not very experienced (meaning I haven't done any plays or stuff like that) Also I don't want to have to take acting classes for years to get really good, cause I will be almost and adult at that time. I want to be a young kid actor on a popular tv show. PLEASE HELP!!!!

It sounds to me that you just want the glory and fame of being a Hollywood actress. Sorry, but millions of other kids just like you have the same dream, and this is very unrealistic. Okay, the first step is to get experience, which is plays and acting classes. You say that it will take forever to take acting courses, which concerns me, because every actor, even the most successful ones, need training. It wont take forever! You cannot go into this business without any experience. I even get called a rookie, and I have been in numerous plays and classes. Then you can try to get an agent. An agent does not cost anything, so do not pay them! Look up on Google: talent agency in [your city] which will give you a list that are available to you. Now, the websites, i am sorry to say that only the middle one is official. And that one is only targeted to principly Americans, and those that can get to the auditions, which are all held in the U.S. If you what to check out what it is like, check out this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FO-bvOTZCZg If you want to check out if acting is for you, check out thatsophiakid's channel on YouTube, as it may assist you: www.youtube.com/user/thatsophiakid She gives great advice that helped me :) Also as I recall hearing there is a Disney Australia, which has its own shows, so focus on those. A resume is a sheet that lists all of your accomplishments and experience, which you need to fill out. This is a very difficult industry, that comes with luck, so don't be hoping for everything to work in your favor. Hope this helped :)

Me and you are on the same page but i know more about acting now. first of all you need to go to acting school for a couple years, its harder than you think. and you will need an agent and i think you have to pay them (hire them) and than you can audition for plays or commercials and than you can start looking for an agency and they can help you get auditions for bigger stuff and move onto T.V but those open call auditions for disney are lies,i went to one and they tried convincing me to pay $2,000 for acting classes, they try to take your money and lie. This is all i can tell you for now.good luck :D
