How do I get my parents to buy me the "right" clothes?

  • I'm a guy, 13, and all of the stores are miles away on the highway and require driving. I need new clothes. The problem is, my parents don't want me to have them, because "I'm a girl". I'm trans (FtM), but not out, so the whole situation is pretty difficult for me. My dad says he won't get involved, and my mom is really the only one in my way. She says I can't wear guy's clothes, but every time I bring up a point, or my dad does, she just ignores us or tells us not to argue. I really do need new clothes though, because it's very hard to find girl's clothes that fit and look like guy's clothing. I don't know what to do. My dad keeps saying he won't get involved, but I just think that's because he doesn't like fighting. So what do I do guys? It's not like I'll look out of place in the guy's section, as I pass fully, but shopping in the girl's is awkward and really embarrassing. I can't order anything online, and there are no stores near me. How can I get my mom to buy me the right clothes?

    I'd consider going to a thrift store... You can find some good stuff there if you look hard, and depending on the store the sections can be mixed. Sorry I don't have a better suggestion, but thrift stores are pretty much in every town.

Say you're going shopping with a friend, (your mom will love that XP) or just say you're hanging out with a friend. Then you and your bro (or sis?) go out shopping together and you get some new cloths. hide the bag or, just burry the cloths under other things in the bag, or both.
