What does a medical assistant do on a daily basis?

Is being a infant teacher hard, what does it involve on a daily basis?

  • Do you write lesson plans for them? How many babies per lead teacher and assistant.. Does it get stressful , having so many babies in one room? Is it hard? tell me everythig you do on a daily basis? Do you love your job?

  • Answer:

Faith must not have been in some day care centers. Infant teachers/caregivers DO write lesson plans in some centers. Each state has its own ration, in my state you can have FIVE babies to one adult ages 6 weeks and up to 18 months. And some day care centers you will have a wide age range. Early Head Start only allows three babies to one adult. Stress? Well, in our state you see 'an army of volunteers' rushing out to help a mom who just popped out five babies. Yet you in a day care center can be expected to feed, hold, change, clean, record changings, change, record feedings, hold all these babies by yourself in your eight hour shift. Smile when parents come and say all went great! Don't worry, moms will say baby is getting great care. My first day care job was in a 6 wk-18 month room. I had 4 babies under 4 months, and one was 16 months and constantly stepping on the lil ones. Day one, my introduction. The director told me their names are on their diapers. I realized then this was a crap place that only cared for the money. I was told to smile at pickup, and make sure all by 4 PM had clean bottoms and clean faces. make sure their daily record was filled out. When you see parent, pick child up and cuddle or try to get the child to smile and giggle over something 'fun' you did that day. That way, parents are happy and think their child is getting great care. (those were the words of the director).

Bobbi is right- daycare at daycare centers are only for business. My Aunt worked in my daycare over the years and she says that all of them are absolutely terrible places for children. That is why she quit working at a daycare center and started up her own home daycare. My Aunt says that daycares were always over state law for ratio. I don't want to hurt your dreams of caring for and loving for children. From the below site you can browse on what daycares do with these children! Many people, like you, who want to care for children, will be disappointed when you start working at a daycare- daycare centers are terrible places for children. You may find yourself feeding the babies and changing them, instead of holding them.

There is no such thing as an infant teacher. There is such thing as an infant care giver or nanny but not a teacher. A baby is mentally not ready to learn lessons. I think you are confusing a teacher with a care giver.
