    You get the state- minium wage now the real question is what will happen ecconomicaly? a higher minium wage means higher wages in genral- so industries that can be done any place will llocate some where where the wages are lower. If you are in a place like Alaska where the minium wage is higher due to simple logistics and there are a lot of jobs that are geographicly dependent- and seasonal like tourism and fishing you will see a lot of out of state workers coming in since they could work a job in AK for $20 that would pay $15 in the lower 48.

You get the higher state minimum wage. Some states have lower minimum wages that the federal minimum wage. (The last time that I checked, in Kansas it was a pitiful $2.65 per hour.) The federal minimum wage would prevail in such cases unless there were absolutely no ties to interstate commerce whatsoever. That's virtually impossible today given that virtually every business has some ties to interstate commerce, even if it's only the local electric utility buying energy for peak loads from the national power grid, or the occasional out-of-state phone call on the business' phone service.
