How do you disable AVG Antivirus?

• When I format my PC and start installing softwares. First I install this AVG Antivirus 10.0.1424 (nearly 150 mb). But my problem is that its update size is much bigger than its file size about 190 mb. Everytime when I format my PC, it does update from internet and consume a lot of data from internet. What should I do? Is there any version of AVG which should be fully updated within seconds and consume less data. Whether this feature is available in the latest version of AVG. I like AVG because I know all its features.

  Well, first off, when you install an AV program, the first update will be a big one, you are getting all the updates from the time the installer was created...I do not like to see anyone use AVG however... AVG is a mediocre AV at best, it has a high false positive rat, relies mostly on it's virus data base, and has no sandbox technology. You can get better protection with the free version of Avast. http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download Just remember, when you first install an AV the first update will be a big one. then from then on they will be of normal size.
