Where can I go to do a voice over audition?

Should we really audition for X Factor?

  • Hi, my two friends and I are thinking about auditioning for the X factor (USA) this year. We would be auditioning as a group (duh) and we're planning on doing the online (youtube) audition because they arent coming anywhere near us. We all like to sing and wish we could make that our career, but honestly, I don't know if we're at "X Factor" level. We've never had any vocal lessons (not that that matters) and we've never sang on stage or in front of anyone other than our parents....I don't even know if we actually sound good. We all sing ok and can carry a melody and do harmony and all that, but I know vibrato is an important part of being a "singer" and we haven't got that. One is very good at high notes and all that and she's pretty good, the other in so-so (what I notice is that she can't really control he voice, you can kind of notice it but I can't tell her) and then i'm just normal....I don't want to make a fool out of ourselves. We're good but not amazing in comparison to many of other acts I saw last year. Should we go ahead and give it a try anyways? I think we should at least audition and see where it goes from there.

Go ahead and try it ... my sister is currently auditioning in the UK version and has 2 more to do, She auditioned before and didnt make it so this is her 2nd try. There are many auditions before you actually get on the show and they still accept people that are terrible at singing so go and see what they will say. Good Luck.

Well you do have any other videos posted? No one can tell if your good or not just b y a description. Posting a video of you guys singing to youtube or even here will help dearly. But if you guys do sound good enough i would. Why not? You wont make a fool of yourself unless you get major stage fright and just stand there.You could always work on your vocals and performing in front of people. You don't see most groups win talent shows but hey look at one direction. They didn't win but they are a hit now. If you are really worried than start posting videos to see feedback. But honestly please audition. and i bet you have fun a swell
