How do I get a job if i need a work permit to get a job, and a job to get a work permit..?

I got a work permit request from school today, where i have to fill out a bunch of info and she sends it to the office... I have a question though.. on the paper it says to right down the job i work at.. but i dont have a job.. thats why i got a work permit o.0 im really confused.. Because dont you need a work permit for a job? but a job to have a work permit.. O_O help

what you do is when you have someone who wants to hire you then you fill that and send it in cause they need to know for what job your going to do.
