What are some good websites for teen photography contests?

Getting my Photography out there?

• Hello, I am working my way up the photography ladder and I am wondering some websites that might be helpful to get my sell more noticed. I already have a deviant art, tubmlr, twitter, and etc. Are there any where you can gain profit that are easily accessible? I have collected many websites, but I was just curious if any of you have suggestions. I'm willing to try contests, free sites, paid sites, sites where I do/don't get paid. As long as my art gets out there, and it is recognized as mine. Thanks!

  The sad truth is that "out there" won't do much for you in most cases. The best plan of action is to begin locally and work outwards. I would suggest a showing at your local library, coffee shop, college, etc. Prepare framed works and price them and have smaller versions available as greeting cards. Have a business card ready and have a plan for prices when asked if you will shoot an event, portrait, etc. You will more than likely not sell a lot from the showing, but get many job offers. Work outwards to build a reputation.
