What's the best way to make money with digital photography?

What is the best way to make money off of my photography? I will not sell on stock websites, other options?

    If not stock photography, then you need to find a local art gallery, a local ad agency that buys photos, or make some prints and frame them and sell to famoily and friends. You can set up yourself at a local farmer's market, flee market, or go to local businesses with lobbies. Go dressed nice with a portfolio of your work, ask to talk to the building manager and try to sell your work. Your work speaks for itself. Try to work on a quick 30 second sale pitch of which one of your photos will look great in their lobby or hallways. Put them on e-bay. The photo you use for display set at low quality 2 or 3. Frame size 2x3, and your name all over it so no one can steal it. Sell 16X20 or bigger for $250 or higher starting bid.

Sell your camera and lenses. Ha! Unless your photos are stellar there's little chance you'll make a decent income selling prints and collections. I'd love to see these "excellent and unique shots". Many people will happily toot their own horn and that's okay but if you're the only one who talks about or says your work is awesome (friends and family don't count) then odds are you're not as great as you think.

You would have to set up a Framed Photo Gallery of your work, pricing each one according to its artistic value and style and such, and let word spread that your work is for sale and you're amazing. Try to be weird in some affectionate way and act coy and artsy.
