How do I convince my parents to buy me a pet?

How can i convince my parents to buy me a pet dog?

  • whenever i ask them they will always respond with "will you be able to take care of it?" but i really can! they just don't trust me, i don't know why. I just really want a dog, and i've been wanting them since 3 yrs now.

    write up a bunch good things you could learn and great things about a dog. then write up 10 possible responsibilities you will need to worry about, so they know you know what it is that you are signing up for. Then say I know I will care for my puppy, because I know all of the things they need. this is how i got my first cell phone and first puppy :)

i guess i will help. So...start out with a bird or a fish or something (if you can) and say well I will show you wrong if I have too. Say if you have a friend over make sure they don't harm it in any way.Feed it the right amount of food and take care of it each day and don't mess with it a lot just leave it be (if its a fish) if its a bird only mess with it once or twice every 2-3 weeks or not mess with it at all. Get it toys if its a bird. Get it clean water if its a fish. I mainly want to say "don't feed your fish too much!" Thanks!
