only unhealthy hens lay salmonella contaminated eggs so if they were high quality eggs there should be no worries. Dogs digestive tracts are much shorter than ours anyway so the bad bacteria usually gets eliminated before it can take hold. :)

Dogs can definitely get Salomonella. It just isn't as common in them as it is in people or horses. They are more likely to maintain a carrier state and pass it on to humans though. Go look at all the dogs on raw diets that contract Salmonella because the food hasn't been cooked. That being said, 1 raw egg will probably not harm your dog. He may have some diarrhea or an upset stomach though. Monitor his temperature for a few days if you are really worried. Their stomach's are about the same pH as humans too. You can give me as many negative ratings as you want, but it won't change the fact that raw diets aren't the way to go.

It is possible, but it is VERY unlikely that your dog will get sick from one raw egg. Maybe two or three would cause a problem, but one egg is actually good as an occasional treat.
