Computer turns on but the monitor doesn't receive signal?

Computer turns on but monitor doesnt?

  • My computer turns on it has power and everything the lights and fans turn on but the monitor doesnt it just stays black. I have to turn on\off the computer about 30 times for it to boot up. And when it does boot loud fans turn on comeing from the video card im guessing? What can be the problem?

  • Answer:

That can be caused by any number of things: power supply (yes, even though lights & fans are on doesn't mean the power supply is fully operational), CPU, system board, memory (bad or poorly seated modules), video card, etc... Try reseating everything inside to see if that helps, otherwise you may need a tech to look at it.
