How do I make a dell recovery disk?

  • Yo my system crashed and i need a recovery disk and i was wondering how i could make it. its a dell inspiron 1545 and its at the point where it starts up but it stays at rhe start windows normally thing and it says i need a recovery disk BTW idk all the complicated stuff so if you have a step by step guide that would be helpful. i have another laptop(samsung) that i could work with. is it possible? thank you.

As said you should have created a disk early on. From what you are describing it may still be possible to start the recovery process. Look at the following dell support page select the necessary and it will give you the instructions to enter the recovery procedure from startup. it will involve pressing F8 at the correct time If you cannot get into the procedure you will have to contact dell for your recovery disk and probably a small charge will be made. Also you have to consider a hardware fault but this does seem more likely to be a software problem

you should have created a recovery disc since day one. you can't create one when it crashed. at this moment you could try window to restore the last known working point.go to start.. all program..accessory..system tools..system restore. try those at your own risk. good luck.
