How does a Wacom Intuos3 Tablet perform on a widescreen monitor?

How can I make my tablet work on this computer?

  • I believe I have a Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet or whatever. I got it years ago, so I forgot the specifics. It was the cheapest one with the smallest drawing surface. Anyhow, it works perfectly fine on my widescreen HP computer running Vista. When I use it on this custom computer running Windows 7 and a smaller monitor, it works poorly. It's as if the monitor and the tablet's drawing area are not calibrated or scaled properly. Like, if I draw a straight line from one end of my tablet to the other, it only reaches 80% of the screen's distance. Then I have to lift the pen off the tablet, put it down somewhere else, and continue the line... The lines I draw are also really jagged and stuff, like the cursor is shaking. Is there a way I can fix this? The tablet is compatible with this computer, as it should be, so I don't get why it's being weird like this.

  • Answer:

you have to down load a driver from the wacom website then go to bamboo preferences and change it from mouse mode to tablet mode
