Where to download i am but a small voice instrumental?

Does Anyone Know where I can download a Voice Synthesizer Program?

  • I'm making a video game, and it would be easier if I can synthesize alot of the speeches on my computer with two voice actors and changing the frequency rather than get two or more voice actors to come in. Even if they change their voice, just doesn't sound natural, anyone have a program they know I can download?

    if you want true variation and for it sound good you will need voice actors, why not use an ipod or some other potable recording device, write down scripts for each of the characters and ask people you know to reel them off. If you don't know that many people who are willing to help out, go down to a busy part of town and offer a small amount of money for a few minutes of their time. If some asked me to do it for £5 i'd do it ;)

Most windows and mac machines (and some linux too) already come with speech engines pre-installed, so you really only need to get familiar with their APIs to get your game to take advantage of them. Anything an artificial speech engine comes up with though is going to sound way more unnatural than any voice actor.
