Why won't my PC start?

My pc wont start up, it runs but wont boot windows?

• I've had my pc for about 2 years now and never had a problem with it. a few weeks after I had moved home I started it up in the morning fine and dandy and hit said it had to reset for some reason or another so I went away while it was restarting and came back to find the sound of it running lights all on on the mouse keyboard and the pc itself but the monitor was displaying "no signal". so I tried turning it off by pressing the power button and nothing happened so i held it down to try and force a stop but still nothing was happening. so I rebooted it after that and it got so far in the start up past the splash and it stopped sending a signal the symptoms exactly the same as the first time I've swapped over monitors unplugged the mouse keyboard and monitor and double checked all those on another pc. It still it gets to a point where everything stops and I can only hear the fan whirring around. now sometimes when it starts I have a short window of opportunity where i can access things on the boot menu and others but I don't know what I'm doing from there ( I read a forum that someone had a similar problem and said it might be down to an update and to reset my pc to an earlier date) I cant give any specific info about my pc other that its Packard bell and its running windows vista please help me any suggestions would be appreciated!

  Calling any hardware engineer can help you without any risk but if u know how to repair windows then u should repair it once and check your ram this thing also happened with me. Thanks!Like it?Vote it!
