How to link the Javadoc of a Library in Eclipse?

Eclipse and Java 3D PROBLEM!!!!!?

  • Hi i have a project to do in Java on my Windows 7, 64 Bit Acer Laptop. I have installed: Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers: eclipse-jee-indigo-SR2-win32-x86_64.zip. I then downloaded Java3D: j3d-1_5_2-windows-i586.zip. However eclipse is not recognising any imports such as "import com.sun.j3d.utils.universe.SimpleUnivers… The error message says: The import com.sun.j3d cannot be resolved. As i am new I do not understand when people say edit the CLASSPATH or PATH and do something with JARS. Could you please step-by-step explain what I can do and if the programs I have downloaded are correct for each other. Secondly as I tried to locate or 'link' the JAR files with my J3D file and validate it an error appeared: "Location might be invalid. Files "package-List" and "index.html" that are typically avaliable at the root of the document created by the Javadoc tool have not been found." What can I do to simple make my Eclipse and Java3D work. Below is a summary of what I have: -Acer Aspire 5742 Laptop -Windows 7 -64 Bit Have I downloaded the wrong J3D Download for that specific eclipse? Thank you very much!

  • Answer:

Hmmm, I will answer your question in a different way, outside of the box. From experience, I've tried Java3D, and JOGL, but in the end both of them end up with problems. Until I've discovered LWJGL. It's so much easier better performance, desktop and applets both works! ... etc. I guess I can share my some little exemples if you'll like ... feel free to contact me at [email protected]
