How do you brush your teeth?

How to convince boyfriend to brush teeth without sounding shallow?

• My boyfriend almost never brushes his teeth (even as a child he got away with not brushing his teeth) he only brushes when he notices a huge gross build up of plaque on his teeth or before going to the dentist, and he said that it's ok because he drinks a lot of milk and his teeth are strong, and that neanderthals (things humans 'evolved' from) got along fine without brushing their teeth. He said that the dentist says his teeth are fine, not perfect, but they're strong. I have to admit his breath doesn't smell, and you can't see the plaque... but I still feel weird and sort of gross kissing him now that I know he hardly ever brushes his teeth... How do I tell him without sounding shallow? And how do I convince him to brush without sounding shallow?

  Tell him to brush his ******** teeth. That is disgusting, and his dentist is probably an idiot or thats not really what his dentist says because bacteria buildup and plaque, not flossing, etc. add up to cavities. Strong teeth is fine until they rot out of your head from all of that crap building up. Plus its unsanitary. If he cares about you, he will change his hygiene. Don't worry about feeling shallow. People who need a pick me up in the hygiene department need to be told straight up, not in a beating around the bush type of way because they wont get it.
