Computer won't turn on/display anything!?
-
Hi my computer out of no where has stopped working. everything was working perfectly and then the very next instant where i turn on the computer; i notice it doesn't make its usual sound scheme / pattern it does. (i kind of notice things very well and i know exactly the sound scheme my computer makes as it turns on; ie i Know exactly when my computer has reached the log in screen just by hearing the beep or sound of fans or certain distinct noises ) and it shows nothing on my screen. When turning on the computer; my monitor displays "no signal" My keyboard does not light up, but my mouse stays connected (even if i turn off the computer?!) it usually does not do this ever. I tried cleaning the computer, spraying dust air cans into it (i keep the computer pretty clean) unpluggin the ram, and replugging it in, graphic card, mobo battery, etc. Still nothing has helped. I've tried a different monitor; still same issue When the computer is turned on; I see all the fans blowing, my cd drives still open/close, I see the power lights, etc. THE wierd Thing is; when my computer is turned off; I still see the blue power light on the front of my PC case still on. here are my specs: -Intel Core i7 920 Bloomfield @ 2.67 GHz 3.19 GHz Quad-Core Processor -EVGA 132-BL-E758-RX LGA 1366 Intel X58 3X SLI ATX Intel Motherboard Rev. 12 -6GB G.Skill DDR3 RAM (6144 Mbytes) -EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 -COOLER MASTER HAF 932 Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case -Corsair 850 watt power supply Cliffs: -Press power button on PC = hear fans turn on, lights turn on, but nothing displays on monitor -Seems as though PC does not fully boot up (ie. does not reach the windows log in screen since I'm pretty good at loggin in w/o using a monitor and I do not hear the windows log in screen sound with speakers turned on ) -When turning PC off, I still see my mouse turned on, and the blue power light button in-front of my case still on (but everything inside the computer is off)

Answer:
Since no display occurs I would suspect the video card. I usually keep my last pc around, try popping in an old video card and see if the machine boots up. If not, it could be an issue with the motherboard. There may be a default video card built into the motherboard if you don't have an old one or the pins aren't right. If it boots up with the old video card, check the event viewer in windows to see what happened.
