Why have liberals blocked single payer health care every time it has been proposed?

FACT - Insurance companies in the USA before the reforms pushed up prices, did not pay out claims when they should and bought or blackmailed politicians [1] FACT - PER PERSON the USA spends more on healthcare than any other nation on the planet [2] FACT - Obama debated his plans before the election for healthcare [3] FACT - the chance of a child under five of dying in the USA is greater than industrialised nations with universal health coverage [4] FACT - Obama was elected to bring in change [5] FACT - Obama wants to stop insurance companies from screwing America [6] FACT - The reforms Obama wants work in the Netherlands and Switzerland [7] Let me know if my facts are wrong, but please provide proof.

You have your information wrong. Nixon proposed what is essentially Obamacare which built on heavily employer private coverage. Senator Ted Kennedy proposed what would today be called a single-payer plan. The Clinton plan came apart as Democrats proposed their own versions of single payer system and there was an eventual compromise bill that died.

We ended up with Obamacare because conservative democrats and the health care lobby had to be placated. Republicans wanted nothing to do with UHC, single payer, or Obamacare, and made it clear their ideal bill would simply privatize the industry.

They are lazy &/or poor &/to dependable sucking on the big governments tit & just want "free" health care & the Reoublicans have Romey & his Obamney care which is the same thing & they just want a dem out of office & replaced with a con even though they are implementing the same thing & vise versa hence Bush got replaced with his democratic clone 0bama & now it's his republican clone Romney that is trying to be replace him.

Obama never proposed single payer. And not all Democrats are liberals. The weak public option in Obama's plan was killed by conservative Democrats (also known as DINOs) and by ex-Democrat Joe Lieberman, who were looking out for the interests of the insurance lobby.
