What caste does Vijay Mallya belong to?

Why won't my bfs family accept me because I belong to a low caste? ?

  • Caste systems are a real issue in Indian community. Me and my partner have been together for over a year and are sure we want to marry each other the only down side is our caste separation. He is a Sikh jatt boy and I am a Hindu girl I belong to a very low caste. However my parents are practising Sikhs, they follow the Sikh religion more than Hindu. My dad even wears a turban like other Sikh men. My physical features look very Sikh and I speak very good punjabi. My parents are wealthy and aren't like other people In our caste. I plan to Persue a career In dentistry . My boyfriends knows I am not 'jatt' and said that would be an issue for his extended Family. In all fairness it will be an issue to mine too. I don't understand why his family won't accept me. I'm a punjabi girl, very respectful, I even have a jatt surname and everyone assumes I'm jatt. By the time we get married I will be a dentist and I know there will still be issues about our caste!? I don't understand it.. Are their any jatts or anyone else know why they may not accept me to marry my boyfriend?

Its just bc maybe you'll have differences in the future, if you discuss these things and agree on it, like your children, your future, and everything it shouldn't be an issue, beside caste or other were all humans

Hey kids, shake it loose together The spotlight's hitting something That's been known to change the weather We'll kill the fatted calf tonight So stick around You're gonna hear electric music Solid walls of sound chorus Say, Candy and Ronnie, have you seen them yet But they're so spaced out, B-B-B-Bannie and the Jatts Oh but they're weird and they're wonderful Oh Bannie she's really keen She's got electric boots a mohair suit You know I read it in a magazine B-B-B-Bannie and the Jatts Hey kids, plug into the faithless Maybe they're blinded But Bannie makes them ageless We shall survive, let us take ourselves along Where we fight our parents out in the streets To find who's right and who's wrong

this may be a sign that you arent meant to be. you should have to go out of your way to change who you are. as for his family, sadly you cant please everyone. if there reasons for no accepting you are really petty and outdated i would say that you should no longer go out of your way for their approval but still be respectful. regardless of your caste you are trying to better yourself. if they cant appreciate that then they are not worth worrying about

YA WE NO ABOUT THE SO CALLED...... UNTOUCHABLES

Jatts, whether Hindu or Sikh are very violent and will assault and kill people of other castes, even brahmins have been killed by Jatts for trying to marry a Jat Being a low caste Mazbhi untouchable, they will assault you Stay away from Jats

Caste should have no place in Sikhi. Unfortunatey it seems that you are Hindu and thus it is an integral part of your religion. If you are both Sikh then i would advise you to disregard caste no matter what the families say, they cannot stop an Anand Karj if you are both Sikh (unless there is corruption in which case you can appeal to Sikh administrative bodies). If you aren't both Sikh then to marry is contradictory to Sikh teachings, as well as, i suspect, Hindu teachings. Also, about your father, please could you read this and tell me if he is Sikh or not, this is the official definition of a Sikh from the SGPC backed Rehat Maryada which has also been ratified and legitimised by the Akal Takht, the supreme throne of authority for all Sikhs. SIKH CODE OF CONDUCT AND CONVENTIONS Section One CHAPTER 1 The Definition of Sikh : Article I Any human being who faithfully believes in i. One Immortal Being, ii. Ten Gurus, from Guru Nanak Sahib to Guru Gobind Singh Sahib, iii. The Guru Granth Sahib, iv. The utterances and teachings of the ten Gurus and v. the baptism bequeathed by the tenth Guru, and who does not owe allegiance to any other religion, is a Sikh
