How can I fix my iPod Nano blank white screen?

How to fix Ipod Nano 2nd generation white screen?

• Just recently about a month or two ago my Ipod Nano 2nd generation has been having this white screen on my Ipod. My music plays and everything else is operational and sometimes I won't have the "white screen" or "white screen of death" and everything will be back to normal. I tried resetting the Ipod with the menu and the middle key, but that only resolves the problem 1/20 times and I can't keep doing that.. I try going back and forth turning the "hold key" on and off and turning off the Ipod with the play/pause button and turning it back on, but the problem still occurs. I've read up on some other posts and people have said that if you get a new battery the problem will be fixed, which may be true for me. I also read up that it was apples software that could have made the problem to start with. Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

  Its just getting old a 2nd gen ipod has to be at least 5 years old they stopped selling them once the 3rd gen came out (and was "revolutionary" at the time) this was 2006/2007 times so 5-6 years ago.
