How can I know if I'm allergic to something?

  • I have had for pretty much as long as I can remember had the occasional stomach pain. I haven't really been paying attention, and have always just been one of those "sickly children", but recently I've noticed that it's happening more often and is usually worse. It always happens right after I eat something, but the only food I know for sure gives me the pain is cotton candy (haha). It's a kind of empty, gooey feeling, like I'm starving and the "walls" of my stomach are rotting away. I started thinking I might be allergic to something. Could that be it, or is it more likely its something else, like excessive sugar or something?

  • Answer:

The problem is that there is no way to know what it could be without having tests done on you and seeing the results of them. It could be allergy, it could also be a whole range of gastro-intestinal issues that are not related to allergies. Frankly you have a better chance of getting an answer from WebMD.com and even then you're going to get a range of results based on the few symptoms you describe. That's what I believe that KitCat is trying to say.
