  • They say people "peak" at a certain age, usually 25-26 to 30, what exactly does that mean? Does it mean, you will never be as strong as you are in those years, after? Do muscles deteriorate and keep deteriorating as you age? If you didnt "peak" at 25- 26 to 30, can you "peak" at 34-35 to 40?? or 40 to 45 or higher?? If I havent worked out or ran or played football before, during my 20's, can I ever be as strong as I would have been?? I guess i'll never know, so doesn't that make the "peak at 25-26 to 30" a myth??? I'm 34 now and want to start running in competitions, I want to break records, I want to be the best. I have never done it before, but I will train hard towards my goal, will I have a period where I "peak" as I would have done in my 20's??

  • Answer:

it means this is at what age your body is in its best physical condition naturaly after this age if you dont keep yourself fit your mental and physical health starts to deteriorate you wont be as strong and your more likley to get problems such as weaker joints, arthritus etc
