How To Make Sushi?

Dr. Oz says that sushi is not healthy. I know how to make it healthy, What foods have you made healthier ....?

  • Sushi is my favorite so when I have the budget I buy what I need to make some. I can not have things like rice and cream cheese due to having problems with blood sugar so I have altered how it is made so I can enjoy my favorite food. Some Japanese restaurants do sushi the way I can eat it but the cost is higher then making it myself. I use smoked Salmon, dried seaweed sheets, seaweed salad, cucumber, and tooth picks if I need to keep the rolls together. First I put the seaweed sheets down on clean cutting board with plastic wrap on it. Then I put down the salmon and let it sit for a few minutes until the seaweed sheets have absorbed some of the moisture so it will be easier to fold later. Then a layer of seaweed salad from my favorite Chinese restaurant and then some cucumber and seasonings with some sesame seeds. Carefully wrap and put in fridge for at least an hour then take out of plastic wrap and slice. Yummy. What foods do you love that originally are not very healthy that you have made healthier to eat? Please include how you make it healthier.

  • Answer:

I think Quinoa would be a good substitute for rice in sushi, I also like avacado, crab, salmon, cucumper, shrimp...sushi can so be healthy.
