Is it hard to become a dental assistant?

Am I doing well in my training to become a Dental Assistant ?

  • I am doing an internship to learn how to become a dental assistant. I have only been there less than two weeks and these are all the tasks I can handle independently without supervision: -Sterilizing Instruments (in both gludaraldehyde and an autoclave) -Bagging Instruments -Taking X-Rays (all kinds) -Processing X-Rays -Mounting X-Rays -Labeling X-Rays (doctors and patients name and date and all that) -Calling in patients -Seating patients -can handle emergency cases and independently take x-rays of the infected/painful area correctly -polishing teeth at the end of cleanings -cleaning up ALL procedures correctly -disposing of sharps and tooth material properly -setting up for next patient -setting up cleanings -setting up composite (white) filling procedures -setting up amalgam (metal) procedures -setting up extractions -setting up root canals -setting up posts for returning root canal patients -remember to check the daily to do list and complete tasks -Can chart correctly -can give kids fluoride treatment -pay attention to what items need to be stocked in labs -assist in a composite filling -assist in an extraction -assist during cleanings these are all the things i can manage to do on my own so far, am i doing well? what else do i need to learn to become hirable?
