Hey! You don't need any expensive equipments to make a good video. I used to use my mom's digital camera to make music videos or short skits and still got some great results. Gain some experience first. Make good videos requires A LOT of experience, skills, and time. Right now, I am using my Canon 600D, which is a DSLR and can record very good video. 480p, 720p in 60fps, 1080p in 24fps. Its great! Cost me about $800. RMB, camera is just a tool. Use your creativity! Speaking of video software.... ive used Sony Vegas, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Windows Movie Maker... I think Sony Vegas is the best. It is pretty easy to use. But it's pretty pricy, at about $800 i think... Windows Movie Maker is nice too. It's free if you are a Windows user. I know you might be thinking... it sucks. But it actually doesn't if you have a creative mind. I recommend you to get the trail version of Sony Vegas (just search Sony Vegas on Google). Play around with it. It is a very awesome software. A few famous Youtubers use them. Search up some tutorials on Youtube. Youtube is gonna be your friend. Lets talk about some equipments... For camera, i recommend the Canon 600D. It is a DSLR. You can change the lens... and it's pretty cheap for it's features. or the Canon 60D. It's kinda like a bigger brother to 600D. a bit expensive at around $1100. it has a bit more photo shooting features but 600D is a bit better at video recording. Check out "Digitalrev" on Youtube if you want to look at camera reviews. It's a very good channel... very.. funny too... Really, check it out!!! You gotta start making love to cameras if you want some better results... at least know what the stuff is... ex. ISO, Shutter Speed, Exposures etc... these are very important!! If DSLR's are still too expensive, get some Song Handycam.. They are about $200-500. But DSLR lets you play with more settings. Get some digital cameras if handycams are still too expensive for you. they are about $100-300. Sound is very important in a good video. Right now, i am using the Zoom H1 Recorder (at around $90-110). It's not really a Microphone.. more like a recorder. But it is very cheap and the sound quality is AMAZING!!! check out some reviews on Youtube as well. After a while If you want upgrades, you can get some boom mics, or shot gun mics.... Rode makes good shotgun mics. price at around $150-300+. LIGHT! lighting is very important!!! get some clamp lights from walmart... amazon.. or ebay. they are about $10-15. If you want more powerful lights, get those worklights ($30-100) from Canadian Tire (if you are in canada), or amazon. get some reflectors as well. you don't want shadows on your actors' faces. If you want the professional ones, they are pretty pricy for a piece of cloth, at about $50-100+. I made my own reflectors by gluing aluminum foil on a big card board and it works very well. Or you can get those.. car windshield reflectors from dollar store as well. Camera stabilizers. It is very important to get nice and smooth shots. Stabilizers are VERY EXPENSIVE. The professional ones are about $800-3000+. That's why I made my own shoulder rig that i learn from Youtube (type "DIY shoulder rig" on Youtube). It is a type of stabilizer. I cost me about $30. I got some PVC pipes.. screws.. and start cutting and putting them together... spray painted it.. it looks very nice... AND it helps you get AWESOME shots. TRIPOD. Get a tripod. cheap ones are about $40-200 mine is a very cheapo one.. it came with the camera. but it still works great. I got myself another Monopod ($30). It is very stable and cheap. Sometimes I even screw my recorder onto the monopod and kinda use it as a boom mic and pole. BUT AGAIN, equipments are just your tools. YOU are the one who is gonna make the video look good. if i were you, i would grab a camera and start filming... anything around you. Play with some color corrections on your software to make the video look alive. Gain more experience, make mistakes... YES, MAKE MISTAKES, the more you make, you better you will be. Check out some channels on Youtube. They helped me A LOT and im sure they can help you. "indymogul', "filmriot" <---(my favourites)---> "DigitalRev" Good Luck! HEY, whats your youtube channel? maybe I can take a look and give you some advice?

For basic editing, AVS Video Editor is a great choice: It's also free trial, so that's always nice.

im not sure what your budget is but you can get a vivitar video camera for 40 dollars that fits in your pocket or a sony for fifteen thousand but i would pay attention to the mic and how it is powered i would rather have a battery that plugs in like a laptop than battery s but theirs the budget also there are digital photo cameras at cvs for 10 dollars or cannons for like 800 dollars work lights at home depo for 15 dollars or professional lighting for 150 per stand also nice green screens or chroma key paint either way even if you gorilla style in the beginning no one will blame you since the over whelming majority of peoples video are simply record slash upload errors in between let me suggest you learn gimp or adobe photo shop since you can use images in a video editor and it would be nice if there custom learn the following in this order windows vista movie maker ,,,,,,,,,,,,video pad editor ,,,,,,,,zweinstein ,,,,,,,,,,squirlzs morph ,,,,,,,,,,, debug mode wax but its buggy and annoying but free and then graduate to editors that cost cyberlink power director ,,,,,,,,,,sony Vegas ,,,,,,,,,,,,and finally adobe,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, in that order you have to learn to crawl before you walk and run also good http://cooltext.com/ you can drag these onto a image in gimp and adjust with scale tool and http://www.1stwebdesigner.com/freebies/28-online-photo-editing-websites-to-have-fun-with/ remember you can use photos and giffs in a editor as far as editing the video down video pad editor does a better job than some paid apps except adobe and chroma key or green screen lets you create a really cool effect and cyberlink is cheap but has some pretty cool effects but here's the thing if you really want to be a actor you have to go to some kind of school of the arts other wise your just one of millions of losers and expect to starve in the beginning of your life
