AS/A level students (or former students)- How much revision have you done so far? My AS exams are 14th-23rd May and it's the second week of the Easter holidays now. My revision isn't going exactly as planned and the amount I do in a day varies, like some days I only manage an hour or so and some days I get about 5-6 hours if I'm really lucky. I've had a couple of days where I've been visiting family and stuff too so not too much done then. My friends seem to be doing about the same amount I think (so Twitter tells me). I'm doing four subjects (Biology, Chemistry, History and English Lit) so I know I have a lot of work to do. Anyway, I went onto thestudentroom to see how much other students are doing and they're all doing about 8 hours a day- "sometimes only 4 on a bad day"! It's made me panic a bit! How are you getting on? To me anything more than 6 or 7 hours is a bit excessive and I know I want to achieve the best grades possible but I really didn't think I was doing THAT badly compared to everyone else?! I've got about three weeks of school after Easter before a week of exam leave and we're doing loads of revision in that time but seeing how much everyone else is doing has really stressed me out! HELP?!

Answer:
4 hours per day on average. I'm slacking now and your question has inspired me to get back to revision. Thanks!

i got 4 Cs at A levels (history geography, law, politics general studies ) well 4.5, i honestly did **** all revision, i read my books a couple of times and did some notes and did some flash cards on average i d be pushing about 1 hour a day during my "revision" period, i spent most of my time getting high and ******* about, i didn't want to go to uni and worked out a little late that A levels weren't for me and what i wanted to do, but if u want to do better than me ( i do have a job and i am happy) i would revise about 3 hours a day but it should be good revision, just reading over and over ain't gonna work, but i think you ll do alright as long as your exam technique is good and what your reviseing is good then you ll be alright
