Should I use my ASVAB scores instead of SAT scores for NROTC Marine Option scholarship application?
-
I know for the Marine option scholarship you can choose either SAT/ACT or ASVAB as the scores you want to use in your application. I know that the minimum score is 74 ASVAB, 1000 SAT (Math + verbal) and 22 for ACT. I haven't taken the ACT, so that's a definite no for me. I did take SAT (twice) and the ASVAB (3 times). My composite (Math + Verbal) score for the SAT is 1150 with a 590 verbal score and 560 math score. My ASVAB is 86 after the last test I took. So, my main question is which one to use, ASVAB or SAT?

Answer:
Your asvab is at about the 50th percentile mark, at the lower end of it. Your SAT percentile is coming in at about 70 percentile roughly. I'd use the sats
