What can i do with a computer science degree?

here at school were doing java programming. but my dad said there are millions of programmers around the world so itll be very competitive. my teacher says you can get a job out of university right away with good pay (40k-50k) in may, our class is going to UofT to get a "glimpse" at their programs relative to computer science. besides programming, what else can this degree do for me?

You can work in information technology and many companies like RIM and Bill gates frequently hire Waterloo Computer Science Coop students. I would recommend it strongly. Great field.

You can move to India. There are lots of help desk jobs there. 40-50k while carrying 100k+ of college debt. is not good pay. It is barely getting by.
