Opinions: Odds for getting into following schools given these scores?
-
As a current Junior, I am looking at applying to several competitive universities next year. I have always thought of myself as a relatively strong candidate, but recent events have impeded progress in some of my courses. I was looking for input from people as to what they feel my chances would be to get into the competitive universities I am applying to, as well as to maybe gain advice as to what I can do with the time left before I apply to augment my qualities as a candidate. I am a second semester Junior currently & I will be applying to either International Relations major, or Computer Science. I come from Orange County, California where schools are quite competitive. Overall Weighted GPA: 4.09 ACT: 32 SAT: 2090 Other Qualities: National Honors Society, 4 Year ASB (Student Government) Member: I will be President next year of my High School of about 3,000 students, I concurrently take Spanish and French language classes. Freshman Year: 3.9 GPA in accelerated math/english, biology, spanish 2, french 1, etc. Sophomore Year: 4.0 GPA in AP European History, Honors Precalculus, English 2 Acc, Chemistry, Spanish 3, French 3 (I skipped a year of French) Junior Year (1st sem): 4.42 GPA in AP US History, AP Physics B, AP Calculus AB, AP Language and Composition, AP Spanish Language, AP French Language and Culture. ...Unfortunately, my grades this semester are significantly less impressive (in all the same classes), but I am trying immensely to raise them. I will most likely end up with a C in AP Calculus, which would be my first ever C, and a B in AP Physics and AP US History. AP Scores: AP European History I received a 4 Predictions: AP Language: 5, AP Spanish: 4, AP French: 4, AP US: 4, AP Physics 3, AP Calculus: 3. Given the above information, please help compute predictions/advise about the following schools that I am heavily interested in. Georgetown University Brown University University of California, Berkeley Vanderbilt Princeton University (I know this one especially is a long shot)
