What is the best book to study for the MCAT?

MCAT QUESTION PLEASE HELP!?

  • I am currently a first year student at university and I was thinking of buying the MCAT self-study books. There are so many textbooks and reviews to choose from its so hard, to figure out which ones are worth buying. I've heard a lot of people mix and match because certain companies are better for certain sections on the test, and then there are those who buy all of their textbooks from the same companies. I personally need a thorough book that explains very well how to solve problems, in organic chemistry, physics, and math. I also need a book that gives a lot of questions for review. I do not mind mixing and matching so long as each individual book is good. Thanks in advance for taking time out of your busy schedules to answer my question! :)

  • Answer:

I'd personally recommend all EK manuals. (http://www.examkrackers.com/Store/product_details.aspx?p=68) In addition, I would also purchase some past versions of the MCAT that were once given to all test takers. You can probably find them on the AAMC website.
