What should I do after foundation diploma in art and design?

Do I have the Requirements to this University? (Illustration/Art Foundation)?

• Okay so I've been all over the place because simply, I don't understand my qualifications. I am currently about to sit A-Levels, and due to illness I think I will struggle to get a C grade in Textiles. However, I have been accepted into an Art & Design Foundation Diploma, or whatever it is officially called for next year, which is okay with my grades. I really want to go to Anglia Ruskin for illustration but here are the requirements... "Required subject(s): Any Art, Design or Media A level grade C., OR ND in Art & Design. Preferred subject(s): BTEC Foundation diploma in Art & Design (level 3) is an advantage. Non-Academic Conditions: Art Portfolio, Interviews." I don't understand whether I will have a ND (National Diploma I'm guessing) by doing an Art Foundation and whether I can even get into the Uni for an interview! PLEASE HELP! THANKS! x

  Yes I'm pretty sure you can. As long as you work hard with your A levels, you should be fine. And another thing when going to an interview, you need to provide a good and interesting portfolio that is interesting and full of different things and decision making skills. Provide finished sketchbooks only, take professional photos of larger work (White background, shots of different angles, etc and state the Materials you've used and mention the Dimensions). Etc. Be very creative and organised with your portfolio, make it so that its easy to look at, make it like a diary or a sketchbook, etc. Mount paintings onto mountboared, etc. Even though you've got plenty of time, but still. lol The more attention you pay to detail, the better.
