me and my friend are planning to go to the same university (appalachian state) and we thought it would be awesome if we were roommates and are girls allowed to be in a guys dorm room?

Answer:
You can always put a preference of a particular student but don't think it's guaranteed. In lots of dorms the opposite gender are allowed in dorm rooms. I've heard of some where they don't allow the opposite gender past a certain time. Just be forewarned living with a friend is a whole new experience. When you visit the school have questions like that written down so you don't forget.
