What colleges in New York that are good and not expensive?

What are some good colleges in New York?

  • I'm looking for colleges in New York that have a good creative writing program as I'm hoping to become an author, if there's anyone that knows any then please let me know! Ivy league colleges are also acceptable since my dad is hoping that I will end up in one... :)

Three excellent private colleges with respected creative writing programs are Hofstra University, New York University [NYU], and Syracuse University. Other exceptional schools [in the US we often refer to all levels of education as 'school', not just the secondary schools as is done in the UK]: Bard College in Annandale, Manhattanville College, Sarah Lawrence, Columbia [good luck getting in] and Columbia University School of General Studies. FWIW - Try Syracuse as first and backup with Bard and with Sarah Lawrence.
