What causes deja vu?

What causes deja vu!!!?

• Happened yesterday, and had many similar cases, but... We were driving along in the bush (yes we live in the middle of no-where) and mum slowed down. I asked her why and she simply said, "There is something on the road ahead. I know it" Sure enough a little while later a roo jumps across in front of us. If mum had been going fast, we would have hit it. But somehow she knew to slow down. Huh!? How!? Mum told me this one: About a week ago she was driving into town and she had the feeling (saw a vision) of a dog on the right. She got to the top of the hill and sure enough, a dog on the right. I have deja vu's but I cannot predict, only realise at the time it happens. What causes it? How? Why?

  I've wondered this my entire life, but I think I might have an answer. One time when I had deja vu, I could've sworn I was playing this computer game, in this exact circumstance, before. But, I actually vaguely remember this event occuring before NOT in real life, but in a vision within my dreams. When I have a dream, I discovered I see events that have not yet occured. Of course, I don't realize this until the vision is fufilled. And when that vision is fufilled, that's when I get the feeling of deja vu. I was remembering something from a dream. Now if your wondering how that's even possible I have no idea. It probably has to do something with the Earth's magnetic field, or something crazy like that. But that's what has happened to me and possibly with your mother (and cousin) as well.
