What is the "market" on my Smartphone?

So earlier today I asked on this forum how I cn download GOOGLE TRANSLATE to my Smartphone I just got my first smartphone. It's a Samsung Omnia i910. I am still learning how to manage this thing, so I'm still very ignorant. Someone answered: "Go to the market on your phone and search translate and it should be the first on. i just did it on my phone to make sure thats how to do it and it worked." Ok, so my question is: WHAT IS THE MARKET? Where do I find the market on my smartphone? I have NO IDEA what the market is. Thanks!

Well that runs Windows Mobile 6.1 which is basically discontinued as that is nowadays Windows Phone 7.5. Google Play is the new name for what was the Android Marketplace (the person probably assumed that it was running Android). That VZappZone could be it but don't expect a number of apps like the App Store, Google Play or the Windows Phone Marketplace.

Your market is probably called Google Play, its where u can download apps and widgets. But if you have internet or Google search, you can add Google translate as a favorite in your bookmarks. Then just add the bookmark to your wall or screen(s)
