• I had to do a research paper on UFOs and I really need some one to check for grammer mistakes sentence structure word choice and all those things.... I am going to post part of it and post the rest on a different question... Have you ever wondered if there is life on other planets besides our own? With the billions of planets and stars out there it’s very likely there is. It’s possible that UFOs are actually visitors from other planets. There is so much proof out there, and people should consider the fact that it’s not all a big hoax- UFOs do exist. Their existence can be backed strongly by facts. Knowledge of Unidentified Flying Objects existence dates back to the 1300’s. During this time, there were paintings showing what looked to be UFOs. In the 1900s there was a peak in the interest of UFOs because of crop circles that began to appear, along with an increase in sightings of UFOs. Numerous videos and pictures of them were taken. Many of the pictures were authenticated by experts both government and civilian. Radar screens have detected objects with incredible speed and strange movement when no aircrafts were reported in the area. UFOs have been spotted many times by experienced pilots or space craft operators. The pilots often say that the object they saw had unnatural speed or a strange shape. The speed and shape of these objects is what brings most people to believe they have seen a UFO. In descriptions of UFOs the sizes have varied from enormous airships to small ships with only enough room for one occupant. Their shapes have been: saucer-like, bullet-shaped, round, oval, egg-shaped, triangular, boomerang-shaped, rectangular, spherical, and some have even changed shape. Many have a powerful light effect, a strong light beam, or a glow that may be several colors. Some are reported to make sounds while others are silent. UFOs sometimes move rapidly across the sky, dip and spin, stay in one spot, or appear and disappear (Arnold,13). During UFO sightings there is sometimes an interference with technology, animal mutilations, or crop circles. Crop circles, which started appearing in the 1930’s, are perfect circles cut into crop fields. The stalks are bent over but they do not seem to be made by humans. There are no foot prints, paths or clues of any kind as to who made them. Many people who have walked into crop circles shortly after the crop circles have been made have experienced electronic failure. Authur Shuttlewood was the first documented witness to see one form. He said the crops, “Flattened out like a fan circle and formed in less than a minute,” and he heard a high pitched tone (Bunns, 7). It was obviously not made by humans. UFO sightings are often believed to be hoaxes or explainable. It is said that UFO sightings are actually military spy ships, prototypes, or stealth ships. Some people believe they are government spy ships equipped with state of the art imaging devices, ground scanning radars, and sonic detection equipment. Others think they are celestial bodies such as stars, planets, and meteors (Ridpath, 30). Some reports are thought to be: planes blurred by fog, weather balloon reflections, flocks of birds flying through mist or cloud hazes. For lack of a better explanation people believe UFOs are just common objects which the human mind sees as something else. Fog, mist, and other aspects of weather can disfigure the appearance of many things which makes it easy for people to come up with explanations for what they saw or believe UFOs are not real. Some sightings may be fake, hoaxes, or explainable, but not all. If they are fake, then how do you explain the crop circles, machinery interferences, electronic failure, and other strange happenings? Most of these have occurred during the sighting of a UFO or not long after one was spotted. Many UFOs have been spotted by experienced pilots who know UFO flight patterns and shape are too irregular to be aircrafts, air balloons or other objects. So, with all the citings and strange occurrences it is likely they are real. One example of a sighting is June 24, 1947. Kenneth Aronld, an experienced pilot and respected businessman, was flying near the Cascade Mountains in Washington State. He saw nine objects speeding, dipping, and gliding through the mountains. They were unlike anything he had ever seen. He described them as being flat as a plate and so smooth they reflected the sun like a mirror. He said, “The things flew like saucers when you make them skip on water.” The sighting caused an interest in UFOs.
