Best way to study Maths and Chemistry?

Is there an easier way to study for GCSE Chemistry?

  • My GCSE's are coming up next month. I've finished studying some of the subjects but I'm still currently stuck on Chemistry. I though revising for Chemistry first would be easier before I move on to Physics since Physics is wayyyyyyyyyyy easier than Chemistry. Now here I am, stuck in the middle of nowhere. I seriously do not understand a crap about chemistry, is there a simplified version of stuffs that I can look at? Or is there anyway of studying Chemistry that is easier? I'm taking Double Award Science by the way. Thanks a Million!!!! :)

I'm in the same situation but It is Physics I don't get and I have to do triple! From my school we got CGP revision guides, you can buy them online and In shops. They are really good and tell you everything which you need to know. Also, BBC Bite size is a good website to use. The clips are a little fast but I always do the tests after. Make sure that you know all of the basics. When struggling with Physics I found that doing the BBC Bite size for the KS3 before the KS4 helped me allot just to recap and things. For learning formulars just keep writing and writing them out again. I could never learn the thermal decomposition of limestone formulae (CaCo3 - CaO + CO2). I think I wrote It out about 100 times but now I know It well! I have gave 2 links, the first is a copy of the revision book which you could buy. It also lets you view some pages online. The second from the BBC. Hope this helps and Good luck with the exams! :)

go to the chemguide website. it's got FANTASTIC explanations. it makes everything make sense to me for chem. It's best to google chemguide and a topic you want to study. I'm taking Cambridge A2 chemistry but it's good for GCSE info right up till A2 :)

Try these websites: www.samlearning.co.uk bbcbitesize Also if you have the revision guides you could read them, I recently just took my triple science core exams.
