Can you use an Xbox controller on a 360?

Can I use an Xbox 360 controller?

• I am going to be graduating soon and getting a computer for college. I didn't get into my number once choice though, so I was planning on going to a JC and transferring after two years. If that is the case, I plan on completing my GE work with due diligence and having a computer that will offer me the best of both worlds. I'm waiting to see what Apple will release this year, but nonetheless, I know that the upper end 15" MacBook Pro's can run Battlefield 3 decently and I was wondering: would I be able to use an Xbox 360 controller to play battlefield on my laptop when I get it? I know HOW to connect the controller to the computer, thats no problem at all! I just would like to know if it would work well. I know some of the commands on computers are different and all, but would it hinder my gaming in any way, not using a mouse and keyboard? Thanks again!

  It does work, but it isn't the greatest because of the different controls compared to console. It is possible but it would be a real pain to configure the controls although if you do manage to do it, it should work well when it comes to vehicles.
