Is free time really the last expansion pack for the Sims 2?

Will I need any old Sims 2 expansion pack disk when installing 'Free Time'?

  • and will I need to use the 'Free Time' disk to play the game? My computer managed to crack my Sims 2: bon Voyage disk, so now I need to buy a more recent expansion pack (Free Time) so I can use that disk to play the game. However I am worried that a) The game will still require the Bon Voyage disk to play. Will it? Or will I need to use the free time disk? and b) At any point in the installation of 'Free time', will I need to insert the 'Bon Voyage' disk? Because it doesn't work at all and my only other option is to get it fixed at GAME but I think it may be unrepairable...

I'm not sure what disc you need to play the game, but installing it it won't matter about not having the previous expansion packs. I used to own sims 2 nightlife and open for business, and managed to install both of those without the Family fun stuff disc which was also an expansion. Family fun stuff was the disc still required to play the game however, so what disc you'll need to insert to play all the expanions you can't be sure of.

if it has scratches, take it to a video video store, they usually have a machine that fixes the scratches in their disks.
