How to fix a broken psp?

How do I fix a broken psp memory card?

  • Last year I got a psp from my friend and the memory card was working fine until my stepbrother tried to hack it to get free games. He did something with the battery and updated it or something, and ever since then the psp had trouble reading the memory card, it only worked 1 out of 10 times, and everytime it doesnt work, it takes a while to turn on. It might be the battery, but I dont know.

  • Answer:

Your brother was probably trying to turn your battery into a Pandora Battery and your memory stick into a magic memory stick (which, together, both act essentially as an R4 except for the PSP). First of all, is your brother young? If he didn't know what he was doing, like this was his first electronics project or something, then he probably broke it and you should get a new battery, especially if he opened up the battery. If replacing the battery doesn't work, try using a different memory stick. PS: If you still want to try hacking the PSP, then know that you have to have an earlier model PSP (around 100 to 1000 or 2000 should work it). The materials for hacking it can be purchased by sites like the one below and is pretty easy if you follow the instructions.
