Is 4G faster than WI-Fi?

Why did Wifi/4G Stopped Working Properly on my Droid Razr Maxx? Pls Help?

  • Okay.... My Droid Razr Maxx has performed admirably over the last few weeks that I have had it. I haven't had a problem with my Droid's till now and even this I am sure can be fixed. What had happened was I downloaded an app on the market labeled "Toggle 4G" since I do not wish to search for 4G while Im at work thus conserving more battery. Upon download, the widget (more of a shortcut) took me to my settings and set CDMA/LTE to just CDMA so that the 4G searching would stop. Upon coming home, I turned the CDMA/LTE back on to utilize the 4G but then turned my wifi on. Apparently when doing this, My text messages stopped going out, my wifi was not working on my Razr Maxx yet the wifi works on this laptop that Im using. Just recently, the 4G started working on my phone again even with WiFi on but yet the WiFi isn't working. The only reason the 4G is working is because my WiFi is currently reading Disconnected. When my WiFi is reading "Connected", the internet doesn't work AT ALL anymore. I don't seem to understand why these features stopped working to begin with? Will I have this trouble all the time just by turning off my 4G? Is there anything I can do to avoid this or better yet, a reason for why It was acting this way? Any answers will be appreciated. Thanks Much
