How to make a poster look trippy?

• So at school we're doing this banned book project where we have to choose a book and make a poster on why you want to ban it (obviously this is done in a sarcastic manner, as banning books is just a little stupid). The book I chose is Crank by Ellen Hopkins. I really want my poster to stand out, and so since the book is about drugs I thought it might be cool to make the poster kind of trippy looking, like to where it would make you feel like you are on drugs (I am not planning on being physically able to make the poster that good).. So if anyone has any sort of tip that would help make a small poster board look all cool and swirly and psychedelic, please share them!

  Make the top right corner a splash of rainbow. And have things popping out
