How can I get into the film industry?

Is California the only place you can go to get into the film industry?

  • i really want to do something in film (not acting) but i dont really want to move to California since its really expensive and i dont like the weather and stuff until im actually already in the film industry making enough money to move there, ive always wanted to move to Florida cuz i love it down there, its perfect and i want to start out there but i always here about California being the only place to go to get into the film industry. is that true?

    As long as you have a video camera and can write something resembling a script, you can make your own movies anywhere. But the L.A. area is great for logistical support in such endeavors.
