What is there to do in Corralejo, Fuerteventura?

Which holiday destination is for me- Fuerteventura, Algarve or Lanzarote?

• My husband and I are in our late 20's and looking for a cheap last minute week in the sun. I have found good deals leaving on 27th april to Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and the Algarve but just cant decide which one to go to and which resort. We want somewhere sunny with a nice beach and cafes that we can sit and have a drink, looking out to the sea. We are foodies and will be going self-catering so looking for somewhere with nice restaurants and maybe a few places we can go for a cocktail later but not looking for clubs or boozed up brits abroad! We loved cala d'or in majorca last year. I was looking at Corralejo in Fuerteventura but was put off by how commercialised it seemed, lots of chain shops etc. In Lanzarote I thought Playa Blanca would be our best bet? In Algarve was thinking Vilamoura or Lagos? Can anyone advise on the above? Basically none of the brochures are consistent and my heads scrambled! Thanks

  In April the weather will be much better in the Canary Islands than in Portugal. Corralejo is a nice mix local town and tourist facilities.The beaches to the south are huge and never busy. The southern tip of Lanzarote around Playa Blanca is also really nice and Papagayo Beach is unspoiled. Lanzarote has more of a foodie reputation than Fuerteventura. If you like wine then Lanzarote is your island. If you prefer cheese head to Fuerteventura.
