Will USPS deliver a package to my girlfriend's house if her name isn't on the address?
-
I know that since 9-11-01 the postal service has adopted some sort of policy on not delivering packages to addresses that don't have the name of the recipient of the package on the address. If I have a package sent to my girlfriend's house with her name on the package will she get it? The thing is, I'm not sure if she is listed as a resident. Her last name is different from her mom's because her mom remarried. Thanks!

The post office does not censor who it delivers mail to because it has no way of knowing who actually lives at a given address. Worst case scenario, they will put a yellow pickup tag in the mailbox and she will have to pick it up at the post office.
