What do you think about this lottery oriented business idea?

So i was doing some thinking today after i got off work when i picked up a lottery ticket, a different kind of business idea. so i live and work in a middle class suburbia in Texas. I currently work at a retirement home in an area that has seen a boom in retirement communities and an overall growth in older Americans. What i have noticed is that all the elderly i work with love all forms of gambling no matter how small the winnings are. They spend days playing bingo, cards, and what I've also found out is that they love to play the lottery. Unfortunately in Texas, it is illegal to operate a casino so gambling is pretty restricted. I then randomly came up with this business idea and let me know what you think. The first part of this business would consist of a small general convenient store that sells basic items such as food, drinks, alcohol, tobacco products, but have the Texas lottery be a strong center point. The second part of the business would consist of a large room that consisted of tables and chairs with a large projector screen and stage in the front. The room would be used during lottery drawings and projected on the screen as a fun way to enjoy the game with friends. To make this experience fun there could be snacks and cheap beer. Before the scheduled lottery drawing, there could be fun games that could include Bingo, or ask people questions and other games to win prizes. The atmosphere would be fun with lights and sounds and a loud friendly staff to get the patrons involved and excited. There would be a charge for each person to attend the night that would cover the games involving the prices and free snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. alcoholic beverages would still cost money. There would also be scratch offs and other lottery games sold through out the night. Its kind of a random idea, but what do you think?

maybe as a one off thing but i don't see it lasting any real time. I can go buy my lottery tickets and go to the bar or to the bingo hall. Just no sustainability

Horrible. It's leaching off the elderly, and promoting the single WORST bet on the entire planet. Do you realize that the lottery companies only pay back 50% of the money they collect? No other bet in the ENTIRE WORLD is that bad! You want to pedal that idea even further down the poor elderly folks who can't really afford it. Shameful. What are you going to do when they go broke? Move onto the next town until they are cleaned out, too?
