What would be a good major to take in college?

What should I major in/what college classes should I take?

• I'm graduating high school,and I plan on attending the local community college for 2 years,then transferring to a university.I plan on being an author,activist,and a motivational speaker as a career.The only problem is I'm not sure what classes or what I should major in in order to pursue those careers.So could someone please point me in the right direction as to what I should major in and what classes I should take in order to become an author,activist,and motivational speaker?I need all the help I can get,and it'd be greatly appreciated.

  Technically, you don't need college for any of that. But public speaking, English, and philosophy classes will help with the writing and speaking components. Government or public policy will help with the activist part, or at least history.
